Keychron’s K8 Max is a tenkeyless (80%) mechanical keyboard that leaves little wanting. It connects three ways — 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.1, or USB-C wired — with a 1000Hz polling rate on the wireless dongle, and switches are hot-swappable, so you can change the feel without a soldering iron. Layers of IXPE, PET and EPDM foam give it a deeper, quieter typing sound than most boards at this size.
It runs QMK and the Keychron Launcher web app for remapping and macros, ships with Super Banana tactile switches and doubleshot PBT keycaps, and includes keycaps for both Mac and Windows. A calm, well-built everyday board that rewards a little tinkering.
